Gangtok the capital city of Sikkim is situated within a distance of just 70 km away from Nathula Pass, which is the frontier with Sikkim as well as Tibet. Up until 2008, Gangtok was not accessible to tourists due to politics. Since then, Gangtok has seen a large influx of visitors to its snow-capped mountain ranges and monasteries.
