A microphone can be a very personal item; it can be the key element in showcasing your work and talent. The GodLikeMate Mini Microphone from Amazon is at an affordable price of just £15.99 and comes with a Pop Filter, Tripod Stand and a 3.5mm audio port. It has a one-year warranty; they will replace or repair any faults found on the mini microphone within the year.
The Mic itself has a power button and two volume control adjustable buttons which are accessible even when placed in the tripod for the consumer’s ease.
The GodLikeMate Mini Microphone is small and easily assembles and disassembles, therefore allowing the user to store it away with ease and not take up too much space when the device is not in use.
This particular Mini Mic is a condenser recording microphone recommended for live streaming broadcast, Karaoke singing and musical recordings on mobile devices.
Design and Feature
The first thing you notice looking at the GodLikeMate Mini Microphone is how small it really is. It fits perfectly in hand and is even small enough to fit in your pocket. It seems more like a toy at first glance than a functioning microphone.
The accessories that come with the Mini Mic is a single-layered Pop Filter and a small yet sturdy enough Tripod Stand; it comes with 3 leads to connect to any mobile devices and PC devices including two AUX ports and DC5V port on the actual microphone itself. However, if you find that it does not connect to your device, it is advised that you buy an adaptor which you can get with ease at your local high-street for a low price.
The great thing about this Mini Mic, is that it can be used when outdoors on the move or when you’re at a party, for karaoke and fun etc. It does not require any batteries, but does need to be charged. Then you can head outside for the day and experiment with the Mic. The plug and play feature, is very attractive and simple to use. It is not required that you use the Mic with the accessories it has come with. But the tripod stand does come in handy for those who are using it at a desk, as this allows your hands to be free.
The attachment process to Tripod is straightforward for the user; there are rubber grips crisscrossed on the tripod which functions by hugging the Mic tightly for security and stability. The pop filter can be removed at any time. The Pop filter is again also straightforward to attach and has the option to twist toward or away from the Mic tip depending on the preference of the user. These accessories are effortless and straightforward to assemble, but instructions are provided in the user manual for anyone who may struggle.
The GodLikeMate Mini Mic is made of a combination of steel and nylon resin; the upper half of the microphone is fully wrapped in metal mesh grille, and the lower half is made from minimal plastic. On the front dial, there are 3 buttons; Power which has a status light positioned below, so that the user knows it is on and working. Two Volume control buttons, that enable you to adjust the volume and quality of sound. In the bottom, there is a 3.5mm audio cable port and DG5V port, to connect to Mobile or PC devices, and there are two Aux inputs for headphones and so on. The buttons are also accessible for the user when the Microphone is fitted in the Tripod Stand, as shown in the images above.
Let’s be honest; the most important part of any microphone is the inside. Unlike other microphones, GodLikeMate Mini Microphone is exactly one mic pattern. This particular microphone has the most sensitivity at the front end of the Mic than the rear or sides.
This helps a little with isolating it from unwanted background noise which is helpful to those who want to use it outdoors and on the go.
Having run the Mini Mic through a sound test as mainly, a Mic for voiceover podcasting, with and without the pop filter. In my personal opinion, the sound quality of the mic was mediocre but smooth and clear enough audio recording, for the purpose I needed it for.
Although the Mic does not have a niche audio sector. The Mini Mic can tackle most jobs without sounding too out of place, however when using for close vocal work, it needs to be used with the pop filter for the best results for this Mic.
It also works well as a general-purpose instrument mic, tackling anything from acoustic guitar to hand percussion. The Mini Mic seems to have more of a no-nonsense approach and makes no obvious attempt to disguise what’s really there. But in reality, I think it actually has a pretty well-balanced sound for the size of the device.
One frustration that I found was the Mini Mic had no mute button, which you don’t realise how much you may need until you start to use it. You will need to mute via the software it is using if the app used allows the possibility.

In my own opinion, I believe that GodLikeMate Mini Microphone is an affordable fun purchase. The sound quality may not be of professional high standards. It is great if you are an audio newbie or just looking for a budget mic for fun with the family. Or fun with friends for karaoke and such, the GodLikeMate Mini Mic should be at the top of your list.
I would recommend this to anyone new to the scene of using mics, and anyone who is looking to have fun with karaoke and creating small podcasts/ broadcasting/ Tiktok.
It’s small and very lightweight, incredibly simple to use as all you do is plug into your smartphone and access the voice recorder or app you prefer. In Addition this small and lightweight mini mic can be used as a portable device that can be used indoors as well as outdoors. It’s great fun for the family.
The Mini Mic does not seem to have any age restrictions on the device, if you are capable of working the mini mic, and have the software or any extra accessories you may require. Anyone of any age can operate and use the device. The Mic itself is a safe item and is not a hazard to any children who are capable of using it.
I would not recommend this to anyone who is at an intermediate level as a musician; the mic would need to be of very high quality, and need wind background noise blocking to really highlight their talent.
For people who are just starting and want to try using a mic, this is perfect for affordability and is user friendly.
