Huawei recently brought the newest addition to the P40 line-ups, the P40 Lite 5G. The device was launched in Europe and appeared to be an updated version of the P40 Lite we got earlier this year.
Though it might look similar to the older version, it has plenty of intriguing features that make it stand out. We are getting a better chipset, main camera, and 5G baseband support. But, with a twist. We get access to a budget-friendly device with high-end features.
That’s right; you are not spending a hefty sum on getting a worthwhile device. If you are interested in this model, you are in the right place. Here, we will share all the important details you should know about this latest addition.
What to Expect from the P40 Lite 5G?
If you know Huawei, you are aware of their priorities. They never settle for a mid-range device. Instead, every product they make has to reflect the company’s standards. The P40 Lite 5G is no exception.
This one is the cheapest option from its series. But, despite its affordable price, it is packed with high-end performance and some amazing features. It is built to reflect all perks of the P40 models but with some refined tweaks to the performance.
Even though it can’t keep up with some of the more expensive models, it still has everything you need in a smartphone.
Simply put, you are getting a tangible upgrade that looks better, features a bigger screen, and comes with amazing performance. The battery also lasts longer and charges up slightly quicker than some of the older versions. It is a beautiful device both on the inside and outside.
Huawei P40 Lite Specs
When it comes to Huawei P40 Lite specs, the device features a 6.5” LTPS LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution, as well as an HDR 10 support. Aside from its gorgeous exterior, you get a 5G HiSilicon Kirin 820 that is much better than the older model with Kirin 810.
It features plenty of storage (UFS 128GB, and Ram 6GB), which is more than enough to do some gaming or use different apps. But don’t underestimate the main camera. Though you are getting a cheaper phone, the quad lens 64 megapixels will provide you with the ultimate selfie-taker.
The battery is in a league of its own. You are getting a 4000mAh with 40W quick charging. It’s hard to match a fast charger at such a low price.
Unboxing the Device
If you are interested in what comes with the package, we will talk about the inside contents of the retail box. The first moment after opening the package, you will see the device. Under it, you will notice the USB-C cable for quick charging and the charger.
The package also features headphones equipped with a microphone. While they may not be the best headphones on the market, they still get the job done. So, it’s hard to complain about a free gift.
It’s difficult to get a detailed price range for all countries, but it has been launched in Europe, particularly Germany and France. From recent reports, we do know that customers can pick a Midnight Black, Silver, or a lush green design. But, for more information on the P40 Lite 5G, we will have to wait for more conclusive and official reports. Until then, we have to wait and see.
Overall, this device is an excellent mix between a high-end spec and a low price. The classic yet elegant design is a showstopper, and the features place it a league above any other cheaper model. In terms of practicality, the quad-camera does the job pretty well, which is why it would make an excellent addition to anyone’s collection.
